Hello, I am Anita, the founder and creative leader of Wedding Muse Croatia, a boutique wedding agency specialized for destination wedding. After I finished the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, my first job was reception at grand hotel in Opatija that was hosted many weddings and conferences. I knew already than that I don’t want to work in leisure and have to find a job in event industry. I started with organizing different corporate events like conferences, team building and incentive programs, around Croatia. As I am fluent in English and German, I was able to handle the clients demands and my great communications skills helped me with negotiating conditions for my clients.

One of my favourite part of life was living and working at Hvar, for an important hotel company in Croatia, Sunčani Hvar Hotels, where I was event coordinator for 3 years. I worked in the sales department and coordinated events such as weddings and incentive trips. We did about 50 weddings per year, mostly at one of the most popular wedding venues in Croatia, the Beach club, and here I have gained a lot of experience in event organization from the side of hospitality. I conducted site inspections, and food tastings, where we talked about all details about the tables setup, menu options and schedule on the day. There was always a fun part of trying a lots of great food and local wines during it. What a job! Of course, I did a on-site coordination, along with a restaurant manager, ensuring a flawless wedding day for my couples.  

There I was spotted by founder of Promessi weddings and events agency specialized for destination weddings in Split, Hvar and surrounding areas. We went through a difficult corona period, but had a several magnificent projects from Miami, Canada and UK. Once the things were normalized, we worked as crazy to compensate the postponed wedding for our clients and plan a new one. It was a fantastic time and major lesson in realizing strengths and passions that helped me to reach a new goal in professional life. 

Now, after 8 years in meetings and events, I am ready to move ahead in my career by myself. I adore weddings, because it is a happy day! , and in case you’re doing it abroad it is about a week full of fun and emotions. When organizing a multi day weddings you will get a lots of recommendation for side events like rehearsal dinner and trips such as a boat tour, wine tasting… In Croatia, it is so important to know locals and the language and I like to support local community by hiring mostly local vendors and saving your money for their travel and accommodation costs. From decorators, to photographers and DJ’s- they are all my reliable partners for years, and big professionals in their industry. 

I love entertainment and truly believe that it is all about fun at weddings. Include emotional speeches, have a romantic first dance but invest in music and live performance.
